A working outpost — campfire, housing, tower, and workshop. Settlement level and prosperity show in the HUD as you grow; settlers and the craftsperson have nametags.Approaching the settlement footprint on the horizon.
Outpost path
Place campfire, storehouse, and workshop.
/deposit wood|stone|relic [amount] into nearby buildings.
Put relics in the workshop, then /complete.
/invite-craftsperson then /craft for expedition wards.
Tools: store wood and stone in the workshop, then craft a stone pickaxe (mining gives +1 of each resource) or stone axe (+1 wood per tree). Add clay to upgrade either to reinforced (+2). Dig beaches for sand and dry dirt flats or the sea floor for clay. /craft stone_pickaxe, /craft reinforced_axe and so on; /craft alone makes a ward.
/stock shows nearby building inventory.
Refuge
Your outpost is safer than the open plain: campfires and settlement buildings keep wild mobs ~14 m away. Line paths and tunnels with torches (~7 m + light). Ruins and dungeons must be started outside that ring.
